Two more earthquakes struck on Christmas Day in some areas of Luzon

Aside from the magnitude 6.3 earthquake in Batangas and the 5.2 earthquake in Mindanao this Christmas morning, two more earthquakes have been recorded by PHIVOLCS based on their latest bulletins.

(UPDATE AS OF DECEMBER 26, 11:49PM) From magnitude 4.3, PHIVOLCS has upgraded the earthquake which occurred at 6PM this evening to magnitude 5.2. The said tremor was located at 22km southwest of San Francisco, Quezon Province. It is tectonic in origin with a depth of 4 kilometers. Aftershocks are expected.

Intensity IV: 
  • Quezon: San Andreas, Catanauan, San Narciso

Intensity III: 
  • National Capital Region: Malabon City
  • Marinduque: Boac

Intensity II: 
  • Quezon: Guinayangan
  • Camarines Sur: Ocampo

Intensity I: 
  • Quezon: Lucban

But before this tremor, a magnitude 4.3 earthquake has struck at 4:37PM and is located at 15km southwest of Lubang, Occidental Mindoro.  It is tectonic in origin with a depth of 4 kilometers.
